Here's a quick guide to help you choose:
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage uses faster, more rhythmic strokes across the full body to energize lymphatic and circulatory flow. It is stimulating rather than sedating — most clients leave feeling lighter and more energized. It targets fluid retention, bloating, and general wellness.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage uses slower, feather-light, highly precise strokes that follow the anatomical pathways of the lymphatic system. It is more therapeutic and targeted — used for clinical conditions like lymphedema, chronic swelling, or autoimmune-related inflammation.
Both are rooted in the LINFA™ Brazilian–Canadian method and are performed with the same nervous-system-informed care.
Every session begins the same way — with a brief health history review and a moment to settle into the space. Your nervous system is given time to regulate before any technique begins.
For Manual or Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage: Light, rhythmic skin-level techniques are applied across the body. You will be fully draped throughout. Aromatherapy may be offered. Some sessions may include gentle abdominal work if appropriate.
For Post-Surgical Recovery: We first review your surgical history and current healing stage. Technique is adapted carefully to your procedure, swelling pattern, and comfort. Positioning is adjusted as needed.
For Post-Natal: A quieter, more nurturing session. We focus on postpartum swelling areas and support your body's tissue recovery at a pace that feels right for you.
Everyone responds a little differently, but common experiences include:
Drink plenty of water after your session to support the drainage process.
Yes — when performed by a trained specialist, lymphatic drainage is very safe and gentle. It uses minimal pressure and works with the body's natural systems rather than against them.
There are some situations where it is not recommended or requires medical clearance first:
For most cosmetic procedures — such as BBL, liposuction, tummy tuck, or breast surgery — sessions can typically begin around 2 weeks post-op, provided your surgeon has given clearance.
The optimal window for post-surgical lymphatic drainage is 2 weeks to 6 months after surgery. Earlier sessions focus purely on gentle drainage to reduce swelling and support healing. Once tissues are more established (typically 6+ weeks), we can begin to address scar tissue more actively.
It depends on your goal:
We'll discuss a realistic plan at your first session based on what your body needs.
I hold the LINFA™ Lymphatic Drainage Specialist Certificate — earned by completing all four levels of the LINFA™ Brazilian–Canadian framework. This includes foundational manual lymphatic drainage, advanced functional applications, post-operative protocols, and fascial work.
LINFA™ is a clinically developed method built on physiology-led practice, nervous-system-informed care, and long-term tissue integrity — not trend-based wellness.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that's easy to remove and put back on. You'll be fully draped throughout your session with only the area being worked on exposed.
Sessions are held at a private home spa location in Toronto. The exact address will be shared with you once your appointment is confirmed.
The space is calm, clean, and entirely private — no waiting room, no other clients, no rushing.
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
If you arrive late, your session will run for the remaining time and the full fee will apply. This is to respect the time of clients booked after you.
Payment is due at the time of your appointment. I accept e-transfer and cash.
A receipt can be provided upon request. Note that lymphatic drainage by a non-RMT specialist is generally not covered by insurance — please check your plan's specific coverage.
Yes — mobile appointments are available in Toronto. If you'd prefer a session in the comfort of your own home, reach out and we can arrange it.
Mobile sessions are especially popular for post-surgical clients who may have limited mobility in the early recovery stages, and for new mothers who can't easily leave the house.
